Berikut merupakan cadangan resolusi ke arah pemantapan belia negara:

    1. Memperkasa peranan institusi pendidikan
    2. Pendidikan berterusan
    3. Menguasai ilmu mengurus diri & sistem
    4. Gilap aspek positif
    5. Menyingkirkan aspek negatif
    6. Latihan & pembangunan berterusan
  3. Pemantapan Jati Diri
    1. Pemantapan jati diri
    2. Penghayatan ajaran agama

Approach of Enhancing Youth in Transition

  1. Related to professional help from mentors
    1. Providing the role model for fulfilled youth needs
    2. Facilitating confidence building and empowerment
    3. Facilitating participatory development of an acceptable disciplinary system
    4. Facilitating the inculcation of spiritual beliefs and values
    5. Developing and implementing a healthy system of competition and motivation
  2. Related to organization as provider of non-formal education to enhance youth transition
    1. Inculcating self-help group
    2. Inculcating leadership and governance
    3. Providing non-formal education for continuing development of knowledge and skills
    4. Providing the avenue for networking and linking to information
  3. Related to continuous research and development of strategies
    1. Continuously determining relevance standard/ goals to achieve
    2. To feed youth service providers with findings on the most effective and efficient services needed by young people on certain issues
    3. To explore what are holding youth back from unleashing their 'power'
    4. Providing the solutions/interventions/models to youth problems based on research

Youth Development Principles

Principles to help young cope with conflicts, challenges and problems (base on treatment, reform & advocacy models):

Roots of Conflicts, Challenges & Problems

In the process of growing up, youth experience many forms of conflict and challenges that may result in varying degree of problems (Azimi, 2005).

According to the three major sociological theories (Functionalist, Conflict Theory and Interactionist Perspectives), the roots of youth anxiety stem from nine sources, namely:

  • Heredity (e.g. handicapped)
  • Conditions in society (e.g. poverty)
  • Lack of opportunities
  • Personality (e.g. introvert)
  • Subdued rights
  • Unaware
  • Unempowered
  • Lack or no spiritual base
  • Unfulfilled needs
